The Marine Industry in Australia by the Numbers - 2025 Industry Data

The 15th Annual BIA State of Industry Survey, conducted in July, has provided valuable insights to support BIA’s advocacy and industry representation efforts. More than 180 member businesses contributed feedback on business conditions over the 12 months to June 2025 and shared their outlook for the year ahead.

Headline results indicated a steady year for overall industry revenue, with aggregated data showing a total industry value of just over $10.2 billion. Employment levels rose slightly compared to 2024, although a notable shift toward contractor engagement was observed within the workforce composition.
